Interested in the exciting field of Robotics? Do you want
to build you own robot!
We have created workshops, which will take you step by step
through the process of constructing a robot. No prior knowledge
or experience is required and you will get to keep your
working robot!

. The cost of the robot kit is $50.00 and
the workshop is free.
Details for the 1st workshop are as follows:
When: Wednesday April 1st, 2009. 9:00am
to 4:00 pm
Where: Tech building room 204 Interurban Campus
Goal: Build the hardware, including the following: assemble
the chassis, gearboxes, solder all the parts on the circuit
board, adjust and test the unit.
After this session, you will have a mini sumo robot that
will function autonomously. There are three user configurable
controls. You can adjust the forward vision., the lower
white line vision, and the amount of time the robot backs
up when it sees the white line at the edge of the sumo ring.

When: Wednesday April 15th, 2009. 9:00am
to 4:00 pm
Where: Tech building room 204 Interurban Campus
Goal: Same workshop as above.
Sumo Robot Competition
When: April 30th, 2009
Where: Interurban Campus
The competition will allow you the opportunity to have your
robot compete with others for some really great prizes and
will be held at Camosun College’s Open house. More
details will be available on our website and at the workshops.
